Wisdom

Let me learn not of wisdom

Of the abbicus keeping score

Let me not adjust this open heart to the waning winds of this world

Let me learn not

I pray to stay as open as the day I met soil

To love with uncertainty

To cheer as they hush

To find beauty in the what the light reveals in front of me

Let me learn not of wisdom

Of protection

Of time

Let me learn not

But of rhythms that turn water into wine

The coming and going of tides led by might beyond our eyes

What is a flower to bloom but a fist that could not abide

in the tension any longer

Give me eyes to see and ears to hear

Your creation
